STXFF 2016 Calling All Filmmakers

Calling All Filmmakers For STXFF '16 Submissions Beginning February 1

EDINBURG, Texas — Last year the South Texas International Film Festival (STXFF) received upwards of 130 film submissions from more than 30 countries around the world.  Now is the time to prepare your film for submission — open February1 through May 1 — for the next STXFF!

Submit your film for a chance to be a part of the 2016 STXFF lineup and win some amazing prizes. The STXFF has big things in store for 2016. This year the Official STXFF Selection Committee is placing a major emphasis on regional films and filmmakers. Top awards and prizes will go to the works that earn Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, and Best Regional Film titles.

The STXFF 2016 short film category is for works with a runtime of 40 minutes or under. Works longer than 40 minutes will be considered feature length films.

The cost to submit a short film for competition is $15 for early submissions, which are received Feb. 1 through Feb. 29. The regular submission period is March 1 through April 14 and the cost is $20. Films submitted after April 14 are late submissions and the cost is $25.

Submit full length films Feb. 1 through Feb. 29 and pay only $25. For films entered March 1 through April 14, the cost to submit is $30.  The late submission period begins April 15 and the fee is $35.

No STXFF 2016 entries will be accepted after Sunday, May 1.

Online submissions will be accepted through withoutabox.com and filmfreeway.com. More information on submission guidelines and other related details is available at stxff.us/submissions
